I enjoyed my stay at Piedra De Agua Merida, primarily because of its great location near the main square and the lovely courtyard and pool area. However, my room was quite small and noisy due to street traffic, which affected my overall comfort. The breakfast quality was also disappointing, so I would suggest exploring other options nearby.

Rooms
6.0
The room was very small with little space for anything, and the noise from the street was quite disruptive at times. Although it had a charming balcony, the bathroom was also tiny.
Service
7.0
The staff was generally friendly and responsive to my requests, especially when I needed to switch rooms due to noise concerns. However, the service was sometimes slow, particularly during breakfast.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly located in the center of Merida, with easy access to attractions, bars, and restaurants all within walking distance.
Dining
5.0
While I tried the breakfast, it was quite poor and I would recommend opting for something else nearby. The options were small and not very appetizing.
Facilities
6.0
The main lobby and the pool area were pretty, creating a cozy environment, but some aspects like the parking situation and limited room features made for a less than ideal stay.

7.2/10

My stay at Piedra De Agua Merida was a good mix of old-world charm and modern convenience. The location right by Plaza Grande was perfect for exploring the city. I enjoyed the lovely pool area, though the acoustics of the courtyard made it a bit noisy at times. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but I did wish for a bit more soundproofing and some additional outlets for charging devices.

Rooms
8.0
My room had high ceilings, giant wooden doors, and a charming balcony that provided a glimpse of the cathedral. the beds were comfortable, though I noticed some bathrooms are quite small. Since the air conditioning was only in the rooms, I found it pleasant except during the hottest parts of the day.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were incredibly friendly and patient with my limited Spanish. they went out of their way to prepare a small breakfast for me when I had to leave early. However, I encountered some challenges with communication regarding parking, as English was not spoken fluently by all staff.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is absolutely excellent, just steps away from the main square, which made exploring Merida super easy. I'm glad I chose this place as it was so close to dining and cultural attractions.
Dining
8.0
Dining in the charming courtyard was a highlight. I loved the brick oven pizzas and the mango margaritas were a must-try. However, breakfast options could be improved, as I found one meal not up to par with my expectations.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel provided several convenient amenities such as room service and airport shuttle options. the pool area added to the relaxing atmosphere, but I wish it had been larger and the views better represented in photos.

Staying at Piedra De Agua Merida was a mix of wonderful experiences and some frustrating aspects. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with elegant rooms and beautiful gardens, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. However, noise from the street and some minor facilities issues slightly marred my stay.

Rooms
6.0
My room was lovely, featuring two doors that opened onto the street, which contributed to some noise. Despite the beautiful design, it lacked certain amenities like a proper desk and occasionally faced issues like water shortages.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, always checking in to see if I needed anything. They helped with an unexpected room change without any attitude and even served breakfast before the official hours due to my schedule.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Mérida, just steps away from the main zocalo plaza, making it easy to explore dining and cultural landmarks. However, the vibrant location does come with its noise challenges.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was great, especially the chilaquiles, but some aspects of the food could improve. The Sunday breakfast shows in the patio were good, combining Yucatecan food with music and dance.
Facilities
6.0
While the overall ambiance was fantastic, with beautiful gardens and a refreshing swimming pool, the lack of air conditioning in communal areas made it quite uncomfortable during the heat. It would be nicer if the technical issues, like the wifi and a few maintenance concerns, were addressed.

I had a wonderful stay at Piedra De Agua in Merida. The location is unbeatable, just steps away from the beautiful cathedral and city center. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind, especially when my daughter fell ill; they made her comfort a priority. I did find the beds to be a bit hard for my liking, and the cleanliness of the pool left something to be desired. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this charming hotel with its lovely courtyard and personal service.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were cozy and clean, with great showers and some having lovely balcony views of the plaza and cathedral. However, my room lacked a main window, which was a bit unusual.
Service
9.0
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with my needs and accommodating even outside regular hours. Their personalized attention made my stay more enjoyable.
Location
10.0
Unbeatable central location, just a half block from the main plaza, I had easy access to restaurants, museums, and the vibrant city life.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were basic, with a small breakfast selection. I would love to see an improvement in this area to match the experience offered elsewhere in the hotel.
Facilities
7.0
While the hotel had multiple facilities like room service and a spa, the pool wasn't as clean as I expected. I enjoyed the spa services I tried, but it felt like there could be more focus on overall upkeep.

I just returned from a lovely stay at Piedra de Agua in Merida. The location is truly unbeatable, right in the heart of everything. however, the noise from the street can be quite bothersome at night. The staff was incredibly attentive and caring, particularly when my daughter fell ill, making our experience nice despite a few bumps along the way.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in had a unique charm, being part of a converted mansion, though it lacked a main window which made it a bit dark. I found the bed a little hard for my taste, and the noise from the street was quite pronounced.
Service
9.0
The staff was genuinely kind and responsive throughout our stay, going out of their way to assist us when needed, especially when we had a small issue with our room.
Location

Piedra de Agua is perfectly situated in downtown Merida, within walking distance of plazas, museums, and a great selection of restaurants and bars.
Dining

Dining options at the hotel were a bit underwhelming overall. The guacamole was excellent, but the pizza we tried lacked flavor. Additionally, breakfast was limited and slow to arrive.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel features a charming courtyard and a small pool that’s great for a refreshing dip after a day out. However, there were issues with wifi connectivity and TV access during my stay.
